Pikmin can help you find the Sparklium you need to refuel Olimar’s spaceship, so you wouldn’t want to lose any of them before you reach the end of a level. If some Pikmin wander off or get lost, you can blow a whistle (well, you can actually tap a whistle icon) to summon far-away Pikmin or reassemble your group.

At the end of each expedition, the Pikmin collected on that level will follow Olimar to Pikmin Park. You can then put Pikmin to work mining for Sparklium. Simply tap a Pikmin icon on the touch screen, then tap a spot in Pikmin Park for them to explore. They’ll do their best to search for Sparklium and other fantastic treasures.

Secret Spots are special areas in the game where you can collect items such as pellets. Which may not sound exciting…until you realize that collecting pellets will spawn more Pikmin in Pikmin Park. More Pikmin means more chances to find Sparklium!

You can unlock Secret Spots on your map by tapping a compatible amiibo figure. These unlockable spots feature a puzzle to solve—and the chance to earn a bunch of Sparklium. Using the new Pikmin amiibo figure or the Olimar amiibo figure will call more Pikmin to Olimar when he’s out on an expedition. This can make it easier to try to solve puzzles or tackle enemies.

Bonus tip: You can also find certain Secret Spots by tapping compatible amiibo figures from the Super Mario, Splatoon, and Animal Crossing series of games.

You can learn more about the game at the official site.
