Get the games you want—when you want them—by shopping digital with Nintendo.
The whole family can jump right into fun with digital games, DLC, and free game demos from Nintendo eShop on your Nintendo Switch system or online at the My Nintendo Store.
Lesson 1: Instantly download digital games to your system

Start playing in a snap when you purchase a digital game from Nintendo eShop on your Nintendo Switch system or online at the My Nintendo Store. The game will be sent to your system automatically after purchase—no code required. That means you can start playing as soon as the game has been loaded onto your system. If you want to add more storage to your system, you can store digital games on an officially licensed microSDXC card.
Lesson 2: Earn My Nintendo rewards points when you buy digital

With the My Nintendo Rewards Program you can earn points and redeem them to get rewards. You can earn 5% in Gold Points on each eligible digital purchase, which can then be used toward your next eligible game or DLC. Not yet a member? Visit the official site to get started.
You’ll need a free Nintendo Account to use My Nintendo. Check out this Crash Course on how to create Nintendo Accounts for kids so the whole family can participate in the My Nintendo Rewards Program and earn their own My Nintendo points.
Gold Points are awarded based on the amount you pay (excluding tax and any points or discounts used) and have no cash value. A Nintendo Account is required to receive and redeem points. Terms apply. https://accounts.nintendo.com/term_point
Lesson 3: Add funds to your account with Nintendo eShop cards

Nintendo eShop cards are the perfect gift for anyone who loves to play, including you and your family. Apply the card to your Nintendo eShop account in seconds, then take your time browsing digital games. When you’re ready to buy, you’ll have funds on hand—no credit card required.
You can buy Nintendo eShop cards in amounts of $10, $20, $35, or $50. Shop online at a participating retailer.
Lesson 4: Try before you buy with free game demos

Free demos make it easier to find the game that’s a good fit for your family. You can download demos directly to your system and play right away. Some game demos even let you carry over your progress when you purchase the full version of the game!
To find games with free demos, filter your search on Nintendo eShop or at the My Nintendo Store.
Lesson 5: Enhance your games with digital DLC

You can expand on your favorite games with additional digital downloadable content, also known as DLC. For example, the Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Happy Home Paradise DLC adds an extra layer of creativity to your game as you help create vacation homes for clients on resort islands.
The Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – Booster Course Pass DLC adds hours of fun to family-friendly races with a total of 48 remastered courses. You can even play as an Octoling in the Splatoon 2: Octo Expansion DLC!
Full version of game required to use DLC. Sold separately.
