You can dive into another chapter of a new manga inspired by the Pokémon UNITE game, available now for the Nintendo Switch family of systems. The second chapter of the series finds us wondering how Unite Battles can become even more thrilling. Zirco seems to have the solution—mixing battles with fashion to create Holowear for Pokémon! More chapters of this manga will arrive in the future.

Chapter 1: Zirco’s Holowear. 1. Erbie (Researcher): What did you want to talk about? 2. Zirco: They’re still missing something. These Unite Battles… 3. Think about the Pokémon contests in Hoenn and Sinnoh! Or the Pokémon Musicals and Pokestar Studios in Unova! They all got pizzazz! Aoes Island could use some of that, don’tcha think?! 4. Pokémon wanna be fashionable too, y’know. Isn’t that right, Sableye? Sableye: Shee hee hee… 5. Zirco: If you’d just lemme finish… Erbie: Absolutely not! A United Battle is a competition, pure and simple. We can’t let clothes affect Pokémon’s performance. In order to keep battles fair… 6. Zirco’s hand goes through Sableye. Zirco: Try touching Sableye. 7. Erbie: Wha…? These aren’t clothes. Is this…a hologram? Zirco: What do you think of my Holowear? 8. The crowd’ll go wild for sure. All it changes is the Pokémon’s appearance. With this, Trainers can enjoy battles in a whole new way! 9. Erbie: This really isn’t my call to make. Let me discuss this with the professor first. Boy and girl enter room. Boy: Hellooo! 10. Zirco: Welcome! New stock just arrived. Girl: Oh, they’re so cute! 11. Erbie: Wha-? Hey! Zirco: Relax, I’m just taking preorders. Everyone’s having fun. We all want Unite Battles to be fun, don’t we? 12. Erbie: Jeez. Sure, why not…
