Here’s a handy list of recent updates to the Splatoon 2 game:
The Weapons
According to the Squid Research Lab’s latest research, the L-3 Nozzlenose D has arrived at Ammo Knights! It has the same stats as the L-3 Nozzlenose, but the manufacture’s logo is emblazoned on it. Rounding out the kit are Burst Bombs and the Inkjet…perfect for spirited (i.e. aggressive) players.
You can start off the new year with a bang, thanks to the Octobrush Nouveau. This bristling beauty matches the stats of the Octobrush but has a kit that encourages a supportive playstyle. It comes with Squid Beakons to help expand your teammates’ options, and Tenta Missiles to lay down some covering fire.
The Squeezer is a brand-new type of shooter with multiple firing modes. Squeeze once for a single high-power ink shot. Hold down to fire continuously. So basically, an enterprising young Inkling should press repeatedly when fighting opponents and hold down when inking turf. Wonderful! Completing this kit is the Splash Wall to protect your team, and the long-range wonder known as the Sting Ray.
Some may say that the Slosher Deco is “Deco-ed” out with an exclusive sticker. Rounding out the kit is a Sprinkler sub weapon and Baller special. As you can tell, this is a kit for Inklings who have the need to ink everything!
Like any good piece of spy equipment, the Undercover Brella is not what it seems. Our research has revealed that the canopy-launching mechanism has been removed to allow for rapid fire, and this Brella can even be fired when the canopy is open! Very surprising given that it looks like a normal umbrella to the untrained eye. Adding to this kit is the Ink Mine and the Splashdown special. The Splashdown isn’t particularly spy-like, but it does pack a surprising punch for unsuspecting Inklings.
The Dapple Dualies Nouveau are also in stock at Ammo Knights. Although they have the same stats as the Dapple Dualies, they also have, shall we say, an artistic flourish? This kit also comes with the Toxic Mist sub weapon and the Ink Storm special. Sheldon recommends this weapon for players that like to sow chaos and reap the rewards!
You may have deco-ed the halls a month or so ago, but the .52 Gal Deco is here right now! This weapon is a standard .52 Gal with some extra flair. It comes with Curling Bombs to smoke out opponents and the Sting Ray special for long distance foes. This kit is basically for a squid-of-all-trades, so players who like to get in the thick of things should give it a look!
The Stages
After months of surveillance, research indicates that the doors to the Shellendorf Institute have opened. This new stage seems to hold education in high regard – after all, Inklings have enjoyed its informative exhibits for over 120 years. If you intend to take a field trip to this museum, be sure to check out the glass cases and marvel at the giant ancient fossil suspended from the ceiling!
Also, fan-favorite stage Walleye Warehouse is in rotation. If you’re unfamiliar with this stage, shipping containers and a chaotic central area are the name of the game here. But don’t forget to mind the side passages: they can be easily overlooked when you’re dodging fire!
