You can build works of art, craft powerful weapons, and even fly through the air with games like Super Mario Maker 2 and Minecraft. As a matter of fact, there are so many games with a creative twist that we just had to put together some tips and tricks for you!

The Course Builder

Super Mario Maker 2

You can unleash your creativity and create the Super Mario courses of your dreams in the Super Mario Maker 2 game. We’re talking coin-shooting cannons, seesaws, and swinging claws! Plus, you can customize almost everything in your courses—you can even change the goal.

Special tip: Before you let your imagination run wild, you can first try to come up with a theme for your course. Giving your course a theme will help you come up with a rough idea for what you want to create.

The Rule Breaker

Minecraft

Minecraft: Nintendo Switch Edition is a game about placing blocks and going on adventures. In Creative mode, you have unlimited resources to build anything you can imagine. You can place blocks and destroy blocks with one touch, so it’s as easy to break things down as to build them up.

Special tip: Creative mode gives you the ability to fly, so you can place blocks in hard-to-reach areas.

The Master Builder

LEGO Worlds

In the LEGO Worlds game, you can build anything you want one brick at a time. To speed things up, you can use the in-game Discovery Tool to scan and collect items like bricks, characters, and vehicles. Once you capture and unlock an item, you can place it just about anywhere you want.

Special tip: When scanning for items, anything you haven’t found yet will flash white as soon as it enters your field of view.

The Hat Mouse

Stardew Valley

Armed with hand-me-down tools and a few coins, you set out to begin your new life in the Stardew Valley game. You can create the farm of your dreams, learn to live off the land, and search for valuable treasures. Oh, and there are hundreds of character and home decoration options to choose from!

Special tip: If certain conditions are met, a little mouse will open a hat shop selling sombreros, caps, tiaras, and more. You can wear the hats yourself, or dress up your horse in its own bonnet!

The Amazing Architect

Portal Knights

Everyone wants to become a hero, right? You can head into the Portal Knights game as a Mage, Warrior, or Ranger and customize your appearance, abilities, and gear. There’s also a Creative Mode, where you can architect your own island and create amazing structures quickly and easily.

Special tip: As you explore caves, lakes, and dungeons, you might discover resources for crafting powerful in-game weapons!
