When Mario and his friends go missing, the hotel of Luigi’s dreams becomes his worst nightmare. To find his friends in the Luigi’s Mansion 3 game, you’ll have to explore the haunted Last Resort hotel from top to bottom. Here are a few tips and tricks to help you out!

Slamming ghosts

Once you catch a ghost’s tail in the nozzle of the Poltergust G-00, you can slam the ghost on the ground to inflict some damage. Some ghosts, like Hammer and Slinker, have two or more tails. In co-op mode, Luigi and Gooigi can each grab a tail, suck up the ghost, then work together to slam it on the ground.

Seeking treasure

There are creepy ghosts on every floor of the Last Resort hotel. But there’s also lots of treasure to find, so maybe it’s worth it? You can use the Poltergust G-00 to suck up an object, then fire it at other items to find and collect treasure like in-game currency, gems, and more. You can also use a Suction Shot or Burst to destroy furniture in a snap!

Seeing in the dark

A flashlight can help you see in the dark, but the Dark-Light attachment can reveal invisible objects like furniture and ghost footprints. You can also activate this rainbow-colored light to pull items out of paintings. If you spot a character trapped in a painting, you can use Dark-Light to rescue them.

Seeking more treasure

The Last Resort hotel is huge! You’ll probably feel a sense of relief when you complete each floor. But you can also revisit those floors to search for more treasure, like hearts to restore Luigi’s health and keys to open locked doors. You might encounter more ghosts, too!

Collecting ghosts

All the ghosts you capture end up in Professor E. Gadd’s gallery. Ghosts like Goob, Oozer, and Slinker are kept safe and sound in special display cases. But there are certain rare ghosts you can only encounter in ScareScraper mode. If you want to complete your collection, you’ll need to play this thrilling multiplayer mode (which you can play online*, locally**, or alone).
