Toad tips!

The fast and frantic Toad Scramble mode is one of the best parts of the new Mario Party Star Rush game. Here are some tips to help get the winning edge.

Get the lay of the land

There are lots of themed worlds in Toad Scramble, each with its own tricks to learn – like how to sabotage your friends! Use the terrain of each map to work to your advantage (like hitching a ride with Lakitu) and get the jump on your foes.

Friends to the rescue

Recruit famous allies from the Mushroom Kingdom like Mario, Donkey Kong, and Peach to help you out… and to help you defeat your opponents! Each character has a special ability that can help with certain maps. Donkey Kong can break barrels, while Peach can make flowers bloom. Try out different characters and see what happens!

 Race to the pipe

When a player lands on a boss square, the other three players engage in a “Race to the Pipe.” Mash the A Button as fast as you can to try and get to the boss as quickly as possible – you’ll have a better chance at beating them and winning more loot!

Taking risks

After you team up with any ally, they’ll roll a die to add to your move. But you should know that if each ally has their own special die that—if they’re active—might be riskier than others.

Choose wisely

Running short on time?  Each map takes a different amount of time to play—you can tell how long by the amount of bosses it has. Less boss battles mean a quicker game, so keep that in mind when you’re choosing.
