There are lots of ways to play with family and friends in the Nintendo Switch Sports Resort game, available exclusively for the Nintendo Switch 2 system! You can choose from 12 exciting sports with motion controls that’ll get everyone moving. Here are five tips to help you get ready for a fun-filled night packed with plenty of action, laughs, and friendly competition!

 

Step 1: Gather a few things

You will need:

  • The Nintendo Switch Sports Resort game
  • The Nintendo Switch 2 system
  • Joy-Con 2 controllers with the included wrist straps (two to four controllers* are great if you’d like to play with more people)

Pro tip: Since the activities in the game will have you moving around, it’s a good idea to wear clothing that’s comfortable and lets you move freely!

 

Step 2: Round up your crew

Next, you can invite some friends or family you’d like to play with! You’ll be able to play with up to four people on the same Nintendo Switch 2 system.

Pro tip: The sports in the game use motion controls, which means you’ll want enough room around you to move safely without bumping into things. (This is especially important if you play sports like Boxing, Bowling, and Tennis!) If you need to move furniture or other items to make space in your playing area, you can ask an adult to help out.

 

Step 3: Customize your Sportsmate

Time to bring out your creative side! You can go all out with the look of your Sportsmate by choosing from a variety of hairstyles, outfits, accessories, and more. You can even create a few different looks, so feel free to save your favorite ones and swap between them whenever you want.

 

Step 4: Choose the sport you want to play

In the game, you can choose from 12 exciting sports to play, including classics like Archery, Bowling, Boxing, and Tennis, along with new ones like Skateboarding and Thumb Wrestling. Some are best for two or more players (like Thumb Wrestling or Doubles Tennis), but all of them can be played on your own too!

To decide which sports to play with your crew, you can let everyone take turns choosing one they want to play, or have everyone vote.

 

Step 5: Explore the island in different ways

There are a lot of fun things to do on Wuhu Island! You can compete in different sports like Volleyball and Basketball. But if you don’t feel like competing, you can also explore the island by trying out leisure sports like Power Cruising and Prop Plane. And for an extra challenge, you can even see how many of the activities you can complete on this Bingo Card!

 

Be aware of your surroundings. Wear wrist straps and allow adequate room around you during game play.
