How to find Rick

Rick is a playable character in the game; but before you can select him as rider, you’ll have to find him. And the best way to find him (actually, the only way to find him) is to play the game and complete Checklist challenges along the way. It’s best to start with completing some of the Lessons, then hop into Road Trip to test out your skills and learn more about the game. You might even challenge Rick along the way!
How to socialize Rick

The Paddock is a sort of multiplayer lobby where you can hang out and play matches in City Trial, Air Ride, Top Ride, and more. Groups of up to 32 players* can gather for matches—that’s a big party! In the Paddock, you can use emotes to communicate with the other players. To chat with your friends, you can all connect via the GameChat** feature exclusive to the Nintendo Switch 2 system and talk together while playing. Please note: a Nintendo Switch Online membership is required for online play. A free software update will also be required.
How to get Rick a ride

In this high-speed vehicular action game, you can choose from different machines including the Warp Star, Wheelie Bike, and Chariot. Some machines will already be unlocked at the start of the game, so you can get racing right away. But you’ll also be able to unlock more machines as you play! You can also buy and sell customized machines, using an in-game currency called Miles, at the Machine Market.
How to customize Rick’s look

You can earn Miles in part by completing Checklist challenges or by competing offline and online—and then you can use those Miles at the Miles Shop to get customization items like headwear. The other way to customize Rick is to change his color. You can also find ways to change the look of your machine at the Miles Shop. There are lots of options to choose from, including Decals, Designs, Accessories, and more.
How to find Rick a crew

You can choose from lots of different riders like Kirby, Waddle Dee, Bandana Waddle Dee, Meta Knight, and more. You can even select characters like Rocky, Lololo & Lalala, Marx, Knuckle Joe, and Starman. Each rider and machine combination has their own stats and Specials, so you can mix and match however you’d like!
