Shimmer alert
If something sparkly catches your eye, taking a closer look might be worth your while. Shimmering objects and creatures might be hiding Power Moons, which can be used to power the Odyssey airship. You can try interacting with these sparkly spots in some way to see what surprises might be in store!
Birds of a feather flock together
If you see a flock of birds hanging out together, they may be hiding something…like Power Moons! You can keep an eye out for these suspicious bird parties, especially if they’re hanging out in weird places (like on water!). If you capture a Moe-Eye, you can put on special glasses to see hidden platforms.
Social butterfly
There’s so much to see in Super Mario Odyssey that you may be tempted to rush through the kingdoms as fast as you can. But if you take the time to talk with the folks you meet, you may get important hints or an invitation to join them in a minigame.
Seeds
Plants can grow in strange places in the game. If you find a seed, there’s probably a pot of dirt nearby…which means you can plant the seed to grow a super-tall flower. Some plants, like the massive vines in the Deep Wood, grow quickly. Other flowers take a bit more time to grow. Once the plant is fully grown, you can throw Cappy at it to reveal a Power Moon inside!
Is that Captain Toad?
It is! You may run into Captain Toad in the strangest places. He and his Toad Brigade are on their own adventure and doing some exploring of their own. You can chat with Captain Toad if you happen to find him. He might’ve found some treasure he’s willing to share. What a guy!
You can learn more about the game at the official site.
