Tap into more fun with amiibo figures and cards! You can use Nintendo’s toys-to-life accessories to supercharge your gameplay and get cool in-game extras, like additional characters, bonuses, or other perks in compatible games.
What do I need in order to play with amiibo accessories?
You will need an amiibo figure or card, a compatible game, and a Nintendo Switch family system. To use the amiibo, tap it to the right Joy-Con controller’s Right Stick or the NFC touchpoint on the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller.
What do amiibo do?
Specific features depend on the amiibo and the compatible game. Some games can save game data to an amiibo. Other games will give you bonus content just for tapping an amiibo to your game system’s NFC reader. You might get new outfits, power-ups, or other fun bonuses.

Can one amiibo work with multiple compatible games?
Yes, one amiibo may work with multiple games. For example, you can use the Mario amiibo figure (Super Mario series) to receive a special Mario racing suit for your Mii character in the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe game. You can use the same Mario amiibo figure in the Super Mario Odyssey game to get a variety of helpful, optional gameplay assists.
